400GBE TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION USING CFP8

Relay Protection Technology Demonstration

Relay Protection Technology Demonstration

The laboratory project is divided in three parts: I) Establish a test bench for relay setting and testing, including use of high speed data from the local process bus for transformer and bus differential, over-current, and distance protection; II) Establish a SCADA interface. A Power System Protection lab will be established in this project to meet the needs from each of the 4 PhD students and to demonstrate the developed technology. The laboratory will consist of modern over-current, directional over-current, distance and differential relays. In this video, Ellen Bachman, District Application Engineer, explains how protective relays function as the "brains" for medium voltage breakers, ensuring faults are isolated quickly to prevent equipment damage and maintain system reliability. Principles of WDM Wavelength Division Multiplexing Technology

Principles of WDM Wavelength Division Multiplexing Technology

Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) stands out as a cornerstone, enabling multiple data streams to travel simultaneously over a single fiber. This guide delves into the principles, types, applications, and future trends of WDM. WDM technology is an advanced optical fiber communication technology, known as wavelength division multiplexing.

Is fiber optic termination faster or using a splice box

Is fiber optic termination faster or using a splice box

In comparison with splicing termination, using connectors is easier to operate and more time-saving and money-saving without the need of a splicer machine. Drawbacks The optical loss using connectors termination is higher than that of splicing termination. A fiber optic termination box, often called an optical distribution frame (ODF) or fiber patch panel, serves as the endpoint where incoming fibers connect to devices or. A Fiber Joint Box (also called fiber closure, splice closure, or cable joint enclosure) is a sealed outdoor or underground enclosure designed to protect fiber optic cable splices from environmental hazards while providing mechanical strength and cable management.

Checking the optical module type using Huijue C300

Checking the optical module type using Huijue C300

Run the following command to view interface information: display interface <interface-type> <interface-number> The output includes interface rate, module type, link status (the state being UP is a prerequisite for normal operation) and traffic statistics, which can be used for. Optical modules are widely used in switches, network interface cards (NICs), routers, and other communication devices. During use, reading optical module information helps understand its real-time operating status, enabling faster troubleshooting of link abnormalities.

How to route cables using a cable management rack

How to route cables using a cable management rack

In this article, you will learn everything about the basics, implementation and benefits of structured cable management in a server rack - including a practical example and the integration of powerful cable management software like Docusnap. Docusnap automatically documents and visualizes cable flows - ideal for efficient, legally compliant IT & network rack cable management. This article introduces two types of cable managers—horizontal and vertical—detailing their features and providing guidance on proper installation within a rack. Modern network racks face new physical constraints: deeper switches, hotter PoE++ loads, and thicker Cat6A cabling. It is important to follow allel groups or in loops may create electromagnetic interfer nce (EMI) due to induction.
