Here, we develop a novel design approach that co-optimizes inverse-designed wavelength division multiplexers and distributed Bragg gratings to achieve ultra-low crosstalk without compromising insertion loss. Current solutions are limited by trade-offs between channel spacing, crosstalk, insertion. Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technique plays a vital role in optical fiber com-munication. In this paper, a 4 × 1 WDM system has been developed with Vertical Cav-ity Surface Emitting LASER as optical source for each input.
