Ranking of Photovoltaic Molded Module Manufacturers
Wood Mackenzie has released its latest " Global Solar Module Manufacturer Ranking " report for the first half of 2025, which assesses solar panel companies on shipments, bankability and performance. The world's top 10 solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers shipped a record 500 gigawatts (GW) of modules in 2024, nearly doubling the previous year's volume, according to Wood Mackenzie's new Global Solar Module Manufacturer Rankings 2025 report. Industry-Wide Pressure, Persistently Low Operational Rates: In October, as many as 13 of the TOP 20 companies had operational rates below 50%, with the industry average around just 45%. This indicates that over half of the industry's capacity is idle, with structural overcapacity being the core.
